THE NILE RIVER AND JINJA: THE ADVENTURE CAPITAL OF EAST AFRICA

Jinja, located at the source of the Nile, is the adventure capital of Uganda. Here, travellers can enjoy a range of adrenaline-pumping activities, from white-water rafting and kayaking to bungee jumping and boat cruises on the world’s longest river. The source of the Nile holds historical significance, as it was famously identified by explorers in the 19th century, and today it remains one of Uganda’s top tourist attractions.

MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK: WHERE THE NILE ROARS

Murchison Falls National Park is named after the dramatic Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River is forced through a narrow gorge and plunges 40 metres into a turbulent pool below. This park offers a unique combination of game drives and boat safaris along the Nile, where you can spot crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of wildlife coming to drink by the river’s edge. The surrounding savannah is home to elephants, giraffes, lions, and numerous antelope species.
